.Somebody's Getting Married.

On Saturday the 25th of ApriI got engaged to my best friend, Joe.
The day started with Joe coming down to my Aunt & Uncles and joining us for breakfast. (i had spent the night before at their house) We went on a walk around the neighborhood and through the little nature trails nearby. We were waiting for my sister and nephew and the rest of my family to arrive to join us for lunch then go to the LA Arboretum.
After lunch around 1:30, Maddie, Micah, Joe and I left and headed for coffee and the arboretum. <side note: I like to say all great adventures start with coffee, what I didn't realize was that, that day was going to be the start of a wonderful adventure>

'it's not raining, it's just a sprinkle' he says.
so we stood under a tree and waited for the 'sprinkle' to pass.

My sister trying to photo bomb - i was using my 50mm lens and she was too close so she just stood there and i backed up so it would take.

By this time my family had just met up with us. it was like 3:50ish or something. Maddie asked if she could use my camera to take some pictures, so i gave her my camera then Joe started to walk out of the building we were in. i thought to my self, 'i should probably follow him' (yes i did suspect something was up.)

We walked across the way to the rose garden.
By this point the it was not just a sprinkle it was raining.
He started talking then he stopped, pulled out a ring box, got down on one knee and said some really sweet things and asked me to marry him.
I said, YES!!

I don't think we knew we were wet, but we were really wet and cold by the end.
We went to dinner with my family and Aunt Barbie & Uncle George to celebrate after.
Can i just say that i will now enjoy the rain a hundred times more now?!
~
So now my days are filled with wedding planning. :) it's a lot of fun but there is a lot to do.
Going to print the invites tomorrow.
